About Us

Welcome! You have reached the Web Site of "Saint Luke's Morris Dancers"

We are a small voluntary group based in the Liverpool Area of Merseyside.  We currently have just over 50 members but numbers tend to go up and down depending on the time of year!

We started out as Saint Luke's on 16th May 2000.  The group was formed from the remains of the long established Morris troupe - The Cantrelles', who were originally based in Stockbridge Village in Liverpool. The Cantrelles' were trained by Pat and Jimmy Shearn who are still training the girls at Saint Luke's to this day.

We practice once a week - starting at 4.15pm for the Dinkies and ending at 7.15pm with the seniors.  We currently have 3 troupes - Dinkies, Junior league 2 and Senior League 1.

Subs are only £2.50 each week and your first practice is free.  All you need to bring along is a pair of pumps and a pair of shorts.

Thanks go to all our wonderful helpers - without these people our troupe just wouldn't work!

If you would like to come along and join our happy group please e-mail us for some more information -

The Dinkies are trained by Gemma B. and Pat

The Juniors are trained by Pat .

The Seniors are trained by Jimmy with a lot of input from the girls themselves!

You can find details about each troupe for each of the years we have been running, below.  Just click on the year you want to see and then go on the troupe you want to see.

These pages are STILL under construction - so stop nagging me!
